The Shamrock Bar is an institution in St. Petersburg born in early 90's next to the Mariinsky (Kirov) Theater just as the new Russia was taking to its feet.

Theater Square holds a special place in the entertainment and cultural life of St. Petersburg centered around the Mariinsky and the State Conservatory with the Shamrock smack in between.

As the only truly Irish pub in St. Petersburg, the Shamrock like the Mariinsky sticks to its traditional roots. We have created a unique Irish atmosphere in St. Petersburg centered on live Irish music, Irish spirits and beers, and of course the best choice of live Irish, British, European, and even North American sporting events. The Shamrock has gone one extra as its new kitchen has earned a reputation as one of the better places to dine in the city.

Simple but delicious steaks and pastas. The ubiquitous Irish stew and Shepphard's Pie. The best Chicken Kiev and lasagna in town.

The place before or after the Ballet. Have a drink rubbing with the performers you just saw on stage. Stop by for a of Guinness or Murphy's after an unforgettable stroll along the Moika Canal from Nevsky Prospect. Or just sit around for hours sipping your Jameson and listening to the best Irish Music in town. Maybe if the craic is particularly good you may even take part in a wee sing along about a lass named Peggy.

Come see for yourself why everyone says that the only real Irish Pub in St. Petersburg is The Shamrock.
